The first task of project 3 is to decide what data you are going to collect and compare. See project preliminary ideas to assist in this. Be able to answer the following questions to demonstrate you have developed your idea. Note: you may not use the example below (comparing the heights of males to females) because I want you to produce data and not record pre-existing human data. Some pre-existing data is acceptable as long as it does not involve humans. To be on the safe side see me for approval.
1. What is the response variable you are comparing?
Example: Response Variable = height.
2. What are the units of this response variable?
Example: Height will be meaured in inches.
3. What is the factor variable?
Example: Gender.
4. What are the levels or group labels of your factor variable?
Example: Males versus Females
5. Each level of the factor represents some population. Define these populations.
Example: The sample of males will represent all males in MHHS. The sample of females will represent all females in MHHS.
6. Specifically, how are you going to obtain the samples of individuals or objects? Be honest.
